ALL SOUL'S DAY VS. ALL SAINT'S DAY
"Whenever a congregation comes together, it is likely the last time that that same group of worshippers will ever come together at the same time. The precise note of petition and praise made in that hour can never be repeated. There is, also, some final opportunity, some last chance for all of us to make our wants and wishes known before God." Gardner Taylor, The Scarlet Thread
What is the difference between all saints day (today) and all souls day (yesterday)? Perhaps Taylor's words come close-- it's about how and who we worship in our life together. "Tell me how you seek, and I'll you what you are seeking."
